physical: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Human, SPARTAN-II
Appearance:
Hair Color: Unevenly cut short red hair

Personality: Cold and logical in reasoning, often sarcastic sense of humor. Has little patience for small talk, especially with civilians but there are very few exceptions to that. She does not let her thoughts show on her face or motions and hardly any know how she feels unless she allows it around those she trusts and only when she feels it would be beneficial.
Brief History: Odessa was born to the average working family. Her father was a doctor and her mother supervised warehouses of a major company. Her rapid intellectual progress was obvious and her education was thus started very early. As a child, she has never been admitted to medical facilities and there is no record of her being ill. She displayed aggressiveness in pursuit for achievements and would not give up on any of her projects until they met her standard of perfection. Tactical reasoning and resourcefulness earned her many points in group activities. Unfortunately, when the human-Covenant war began taking even wider proportions, her father was enlisted as one of many Earth medics into UNSC as support staff. She has never seen him again. Her mother remained on Earth to tend for her. At the age of six, she was sent to a boarding school which was suitable for her intellectual development. She started displaying anti-social behavior soon after, pulling herself away from peers to become immersed into her own games which she developed herself in order to provide more challenging development of her skills. She took archery classes and became awarded as the best archer in her class but what really tingled her mind were firearms and games which involved physical interaction or defending. Her reflexes and perception were remarkable and there was nothing clumsy about her as it often is with children of that age. Her physical growth was also fast and by her 7th birthday, she was by head taller than everyone else of the age. A silent child, many of her colleagues knew very little of her and so there is little record on her interests or activities in the time she started attending boarding school. Three weeks after her 7th birthday, three people came to visit her, said to come on the behalf of her mother. The conversation held between Odessa and the three intrigued her but her life went to normal the next day and she didn't give it much thought afterwards. On the night of April 9th, one month after her 7th birthday, she was taken away and replaced by a flash clone. The clone died within 3 years and the report states that the child known as Odessa died in an unfortunate incident in the school laboratory. The clone was buried in her hometown. Her mother still refused to believe the story she was presented with.
In the meantime, Odessa was brought along with 99 other children to begin her training as a Spartan soldier. She accepted the discipline fast although teamwork required much effort to get accustomed to. She preferred working alone. After initial shock, she got into the routine of daily training and classes. She witnessed many of her colleagues change, soften or harden and was proud of herself for being one of the latter. Thoughts of her past life were quickly banished and soon all she wanted was to be as good a soldier as possible. At the time when augmentations were to take place, she underwent extreme treatments after which she wasn't predicted to live but recovered in a record time. Her physical appearance wasn't changed much apart from her hair being streaked with grays and eye color changed from dark brown to olive green. Her psychological profile, however, changed. She became even more silent and would not talk unless there was an absolute necessity for it. During training simulations, she would often volunteer for the most dangerous tasks first and would assume leading position quickly, but was also very comfortable with being led. Her skills with assault weapons were remarkable and she was one of the best combatants in the field. Additional knife skills make her a stealthy and formidable opponent. Her potent childhood skill, or perhaps a knack, for being able to predict moves of those around her and whether any situation would have a good or bad outcome, has become latent after augmentation but still comes to the surface when it is required. She was assigned a number 086 and soon her real name became something she couldn't get used to being called by anymore, by anyone but very few fellow soldiers. She took special interest in what seemed to be an outstanding candidate, John-117 and always did her best to match his achievements, admiring. Her last assessment report states her desire to work alongside with him. Whether or not this is possible, is to be seen seeing how recent happenings at the front required fast actions and Odessa, as well as others, were sent into battle. Her current profile summary states what runs common with all Spartans. Augmentations and enhancements, theoretical preparations for receiving a personal AI as well as updated appearance - Odessa is currently 42 years old but her appearance and physical abilities put her at physical age of 22. This is common with those who spent a considerable amount of time in cryosleep and a trait she shares with all Spartan soldiers.
Current Rank: Petty Officer 2nd Class

Odessa gazed at the pair of knives at the table in the center of the room for a few moments. Artificial light made them appear as if they were made out of quicksilver. She could almost feel them under her fingers. "Alright, we're ready for you now.", a man appeared behind her. With something that seemed like a tentative motion to her, she turned around and gave him a look. He seemed somewhat startled, because to him, her motion seemed abrupt and sudden. "The doctor...he's ready for you now.", he repeated and pointed toward the heavy glass door down the hall. Odessa nodded, took another quick glance at the knives and then proceeded towards the medical room. Her footsteps echoed, bouncing off the steel plating on the walls, so loudly that the doctor opened the bay door before she even reached it. She finally stopped, looked across medical instruments and monitors before resting her eyes squarely on the doctor, an elderly man of some 60 years of age, whose history showed on his face. "Come in. It won't take long." Odessa blinked and entered. "Can you explain why I am here?", her voice suddenly boomed, low in tone yet still loud and rich. The doctor froze for a split of a second, as if he never heard the woman talking before. "Yes...", he turned to her. "We need to make sure there is no permanent damage to your central neural system." "Is this really necessary?", she asked, remaining in upright position, refusing to sit down just yet. She knew it was necessary. She just plainly disliked wasting time on muscular experiments simply for observation sake. "You know it, 086. Now lie down and let's begin. You'll be back in the training facilities in less than an hour.", doctor White approached her, but his eyes focused on a rather large needle he was inspecting before he began. Odessa clenched her teeth and gave a small, frustrated sigh. "Half an hour. We're going out of Slipspace in 90 minutes.", she said without hesitation and settled down on the med-bed, face-down.
